Sporting Equals (a division of the
Commission for Racial Equality)
welcomes the development of the
Football Education Network, and specifically the creation of a resource
on
racism in football.
Although football has clearly taken measures over
the
past few years to tackle racism, especially amongst supporters at
professional football clubs, the size and nature of the game means there
is
still much to be done.
The Football Education Network is a key way of
taking
the anti-racism message in football to a new generation of supporters, players and administrators.
