COACHING
FOOTBALL for ENJOYMENT
|
|
Ex-QPR
goalkeeper Peter Hucker began his first soccer schools 9 years ago
and they have been going from strength to strength ever since.

As
we have all witnessed recently, English football has been in a bit
of a mess in terms of basic skills. Under
the remit of the FA, coaches have been asked to provide proper instruction
in all areas of football – understanding, teamwork, sportsmanship
etc – as well as the basic skills of the game.
That certainly is our
aim at peterhucker-soccer but with the emphasis on fun.
We are not about hot-housing
talent for the professional game or finding the next Beckham; we
just want children – of all ages, of all abilities, from all backgrounds
– to enjoy the world’s greatest game.
peterhucker-soccer
offers expert coaching in their after school soccer clubs. Already
in 24 East London schools, the aim is to put in place a coaching
structure for boys and girls, to help them develop their interest
in the game and to improve their football abilities to their maximum.
Our
coaches will come into your school and run a structured 1 hour session
for between 20 and 28 boys and girls, from year 2 to year 6. We
provide everything from balls and bibs, to goals if needed.
|
|
 Sessions
are for BOYS & GIRLS of ALL
abilities and are not confined to those who are good at football
- we follow the maxim "Just because you're not good at something
it doesn't mean you don't want to play".
Placing players within
their own ability groups they develop confidence as well as skills
making for even competition, all sessions end with a small-sided
game.
Sessions cost as little
as £2.50 per person paid on the day and only when players
attend a session.
|
|
How
does it benefit schools?
 It
provides an extra curricular activity, which takes up little time
of your staff; we teach players not only the basic skills but
also about fair play, respecting officials and opponents; AND, most
of all, how to have fun playing the world's favourite game.
Our
coaches are fully trained, and most are members of the FA Coaches
Association (FACA), and all have a real love of the game.
Their remit is to pass
on their knowledge, enthusiasm and enjoyment.
|
|
Our
Saturday morning soccer school runs for all ages between 5 and 16
boys and girls across ALL ability ranges. Sessions ALWAYS involve
some form of skills coaching, which usually lasts about 30 minutes:
we don’t just play a game of football that's what parks are for!
|
|
Our
aim is to give every child who comes along a thorough grounding
in the essential skills of the game.
Every session, though,
does end with a game, based on age group and ability; this gives
the coaches a chance to assess skills, aptitude and physical development.
When ready the children
will be encouraged to take up team participation in local leagues.

|
Our
motto is: "IF
IT ISN'T FUN IT ISN'T FOOTBALL"
