Including substitutions Walter Boyd of Swansea was sent off in the fastest time in football history. Boyd came on to the pitch just as Swansea were about to take a free-kick. He was therefore shown the red card before the game restarted and was officially sent off after 0 seconds. Cup, when they were victorious in 1901. Mike Flanagan and Derek Hales were both sent off for fighting in a match in 1989. The problem was, that this reduced Charlton Athletic to nine men, as both players were on the same side. |
